Africasunrise.... Why in the world would you want to do that? You've got a design that works and that's a good start. Don't abandon it. On the other hand, part of the fun is experimenting with new designs.
Right now I've got a bow that would've gone into the fireplace if I hadn't tried something different with it. One of the reasons I've made so many bows out of boards in the past few years is, boards are inexpensive. If I screw up (and I've had some prize winning faux pas

), all it's really cost me is some time and sweat. I think my next effort will be a full fledged English longbow. I will eventually learn how to steam bend wood so I can make a self-recurve, like Legolas' bow in the Lord of the Rings movies.
There is always something new to try.
