Default Corn/No corn... affect on deer year to year?

I'm hunting a fairly small plot of land (20 acres of hardwood/swail/swamp), whithin about 500 acres of private land. My woods is more or less a passage corridor and doe staging area and not a bedding source, so other than does, the bucks change year to year. This past season there was 300 acres of corn standing right on through gun season. Although I saw plenty of deer last year, I never saw a huge rack, mostly small racked bucks. This year the corn field was sold and has grown over in weeds, no corn was planted. How do you think it'll affect the deer movement? Without that huge food/bedding/hiding source they had last year, I would think deer patterns would change slightly. I'm hoping my little tract of woods becomes the travel corridor for the bigger deer in the area. Not sure though. What do you think?
