Has anyone tried the American Pioneer powder that Jim Shockey is now advertising? If it is true that it is noncorrosive and you can shoot multiple times without cleaning or swabbing it would really be handy when you are on the range.
I have not tried it but I would not trust their claim of noncorrosive. Most any powder will corrodeyour barrelover time. I have read a few posts from people who have shot it, and they claim that there was no fowling or crud ring in the breech, but there is a build up of fowling that formed near the muzzle. Why that would happen I have no idea. I guess all a person can do is to get some and shoot it, then see what they think.
I have shot the new Pinnacle powder and really like that. Just make sure any powder that is made by American Pioneer Powder, you purchase in the 3f grade. Their 2f grade is really course.
