hehehe....another Canuck eh !.....I was thinking of the C8 as well but it does not fill the outdoor role as well (especially at long distances).Therefor my vote still goes to the C7 flattop with Elcan optics. The ol' FN/FAL was a beast but nice to shoot with.....I unofficially "qualified"(shot with a group of marksmen & instructors from the PPCLI )at 200 meters with it when I was 17....loved every minute of it....
