I bet it would. 2 examples-
I've got2 bowhunting friends, one shoots a buckmaster/jennings maybe 2001 or so model- never even mentions a new bow, shoots it well- it's his bow, he bowhunts and doesn't frequent these boards & is content.
The other shoots a reflex Buckskin, same story. Content & doesn't even consider another "better" bow may be out there. Treats it like his rifle, once bought- good to go, next toy.
Second example- I used to be ate up with ATV forums and the "latest and greatest" hype is great there also. I tried to keep up but found myself wanting a new quad every year. I slowly lost interest due to not being able to afford keeping up and found myself quiet satisfied with my current quad and haven't even once considered replacing it sinceI left the ATV hype boards.
I don't see myself leaving these hunting message boards anytime soon though- I'm a forever bowhunting junky

.
Fortunately I can spit out $700 a year on a new bow if so decide. ($7000 a year for a new quad wasn't gonna happen).
