wernerjd ... The Hornady 250 grain SST and the Thompson Center 250 grain Shockwave are the same bullet. I think they just put a different colored plastic tip in them. The sabots are also different. As you will see by looking through all the posts on the projectile, they are a flat shooting, hard hitting, long range favorite of many shooters.

In yourrifle, start your loads out around 100 grains and usually the accuracy is exceptional. All you need do is then increase the powder charge until your group falls apart or you feel you have all the power you might need....
