Was the homebrew camera hard to do??.......If not super hard I would love to hear about it and maybe give one a try.
I'll tell you that it's not really hard, but right now the price point on even digital trail cameras is coming down to the point that it's not that financially advantageous to build one. If you're up for the challenge of making one and have at least some propensity for soldering then it's really fun. I've made two 35mm cameras, one costing me about $50 and the other about $60 (including the cameras bought on ebay).
If you are up for the challenge, don't mind spending a little more, but want to make a really nice full featured camera then check out the controller boards and kits available at
