theres a lake near me stocked with trout.....mainly a trout fishing lake...but all kinds of other gamefish in it....BIG bass swim the shallows allllll the timel..you can see them...but the bigguns never ever hit during the day...me and dad got smart one night....bought a bucket of large minnows...and used light styrophom bobbers and lanterns....decint sized baitholder hook...the water is shallow for about 8-10 foot out...with a weed bed and dropps off pretty quick(man made lake)....we would cast just past that weed bed...could still see the bobbers....that summer we pounded some LARGE bass for this area....i caught one that was 20 some inches and just a plain HOG....we dont get 10+lbers here...but we caught some 4+lbers which is massive around here....look at bassmasters this year....thats our PRIME bass they were catching pretty much..i mean theres bigger...but thats the norm.....it was awesome.....
