I shoot a 7mm-08. Love it. Can I ask why you want a small exit wound? Is it because you don't want to lose any meat? Just wondering... As far as i know, bigger exit wound...better blood trail. But, it does depend on the bullet. And as far as noise... they all sound the same to me at the range...LOUD. lol... In the woods, it doesn't affect your hearing your so concentrated on the deer with buck fever.
