That ballistics calculator is pretty cool. However,I am a little confused on what to enter in the ballistic coefficient, and all of the 2nd column.
I have been shooting 2 50 grn APP sticks behind 295 hollow point powerbelts with open sites. I am dead on at 50 yrds with open sites. Any ideas of what to enter in that calculator as far as b.c. and the 2nd column for that load?
Curious where I would be at other ranges.
Thanks.
You could figure the diameter at .500, weight of course is 295and the BC at .186 the velocity of 100 grains would be approximately 1550 and it will figure the sectional density for you. The set the sight range at 50 and run the chart in 25 intervals... out to say 200 yards. That should show you the rise and drop of the projectile and also the energy of that holds in there for a long time.
