RE: New York rifle bill passes: UPDATE
I'm sad to see the debate. In a few years much of it will be forgotten.
I remember when it was illegal in NY to hunt with a pistol chambered for anything less than .32 caliber. The Thompson .270, 308. etc were all illegal - not because they went too far but becuase they were less than .32. Heck - it was legal to hunt with a .32 ACP - though it could hardly knock down a house cat!
Any ways - they finally fixed the law - and after a couple years - everyone forgot about the debate.
Remember when we couldn't hunt Sundays - not that long ago - WHAT A DEBATE that was - now - Heh - what was the argument??
Hunters should stick together - otherwise you only burn bridges.
