I mainly hunt public land and have to use a climber. I'm like you and it usually takes me about 20 minutes to get situated. One trick I use is to put on my safety harness at the truck. Saves time and is quieter in the woods. I always question if I have too much gear with me but I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I also try to be very quiet climbing up the tree. I am looking and listening while climbing to see if I might be spooking any deer. With this said, I just leave early and get in the woods early. I try to be settled in at least an hour before morning twilight. I can't sleep the night before hunting anyway.
