I need to ask why you think that ethics and morals are such a n o-no! It is obvious that not all things legal are ethical.
Simply because every time the two are brought into any debate, things turn ugly fast. The person that usally introduces the two into a debate generally thinks lowly of somebody else for something they have done or simply believes differently, or hunts differently.., why heck I'm have moral fiber than you or heck you lack hunting ethics because of the way you hunt, once again it gets ugly, nothing good ever comes out of it. All it does it make thing s extremely personal and is a direct attack on that person or all of the hunter of a particular state... when you bring ethics and morals into a topic you might as well start a fist fight...
As to your stament about all things legal are not ethical, once again thats your sole opinion, lets keep this about hunting please... As far as the difference between state laws in the United states are concerned every state has there own laws and rules to follow concerning legal hunting. If a hunter is born and raised into it, it is therefor perfectly moral to hnut by the laws that govern his hunting privledges, who are you to tell that man he is Un-ethical and lacking morals???? Once again it boils down to ones self imposed opnions.
Now lets look at this from Justins point of veiw and reasons for deleteing inflamotory posts....(I'm not speaking for Justin)
1. This is a public website that is owned by somebody that trusts Justin enough to give him the power to help protect the over-all well being of the site..
Sites like this one are made by people like you and me that come here to have discussions and share our hunting adventures or to help others learn about different techniques. As soon as ethics or morality is brought into the picture, people get mad and leave for a while or in the worst case people are just lurking and say to themselves , hell I want nothing to do with this website, that alone is reason to delete posts that are harmful to the sites well being.. and when it gets to be a problem and continuse to happen over time it will have detrimental results on us as members of theis site, and the people who view it from the outside looking in..
For example, I am a member of another very well known website in my region, the crap that goes on here from time to time is not tolerated on that forumn, It is a hunting forumn, No POLITICS, NO RELIGION, NO ETHICS, MORAL issues will be tolerated, it is a very family freindly environment and more or less one big family.. We even have a big gathering each year in March , where several hundred website members gather for cooking and archery fun......
