RE: What to do if deer blows at you?
Tealboy it seems the deer never come from where you think. I can put my stand at the intersection of ten different hiways and the deer seems to always come from behind me. You figure. Last week I had a nice big Doe come in to my stand while bow hunting and it walked around me up to 15 yds as I had a cross wind between me and this deer and after 20 minutes of being around my stand it ran 20 yds up and started blowing and blowing as it was faceing the wind, and then ran off. I was puzzled and mystified as I have taken all precautions to be scent free. All of a sudden after about 10 minutes a small bull moose came from that direction. I have never known a buck to blow other than when it escapes as a Doe will blow a number of seris. Thats why they call it hunting. Later, Bobby
