RE: REMINGTON 209 CLEAN PRIMERS
Hey guys I just went out to the range on Monday and tried out the Remington Kleenbore primers and have to say I was happy with the results. I only shot 15 rounds, but the crud ring was almost non-existant. I am shooting my .50 cal. CVA Kodiak with 100 gr. Pyrodex RS and 348 gr. Powerbelt Aerotip.
The very first primer I put in for a dry fire didn't go off on the first try. I pulled the hammer back again and it went off just fine. I don't know what that was all about because I've never had any trouble with any primers up to that point. Could have just been my rifle. The rest of the primers went off just fine and clean up on the breech plug was easier. Seemed to be a bit less fouling.
All in all I like them and will continue to use them. I'm going back up to the range on Friday with a new bullet to try for hunting season. I'll keep you all posted on the results.
