Bohning glues are famous on the traditional side for being incompatible with any laquer that's not made by Bohning. Use Duco or one of the superglues.

If you're using feathers, I highly recommend Bohning fletching tape. I've used it on all kinds of finishes, all kinds of arrows and have never had a problem with it. It's only for feathers though, won't work with vanes at all.
