Just my .02...stay with the Laskey. I have had mine for 20+ years but the plastic ends on the holders broke (that tighten onto the rod). So I bought a Smith's. Stones seem softer and are worn down within a year more then the Laskey after 20 years. I took the Smith stones off and epoxied the Laskeys on so am still using the original stones.
