or you can eliminate them since they didn't follow the rules, and have 32 people in the contest. 32 is a good number. it's an exponent of 2. much like 64 and ncaa basketball. you can have 2 teams of 16, 4 teams of 8, 8 teams of 4, or 16 teams of 2. heck, you can even make a bracket.
