RE: Ouch:( Cracked Limbs
No offense needabow, and trust me I feel your pain, but why do you feel that Bowtechshould take responsibility for this bow's cracked limbs? There is a reason why Bowtech offers the Lifetime Warranty to original owners.......it makes a new bow a premium purchase, helping a dealer make a sale with the warranty as an added incentive on a new bow.
If Bowtech or any other company simply handed out parts for any used bow nobody would ever need to buy a new one......we could just recycle the used bows until the end of time with all the benefits afforded to the guy who made the initial purchase.
The seller is no longer the owner of the bow, and since warranty service is handled at the dealer level I wouldn't count on Bowtech covering the damage. I certainly wouldn't get upset if they didn't as they do have to draw the line somewhere even for a Bowtech supporter.
Every Ebay or internet sale that is covered could mean a new bow sale lost for a dealer. Used bow purchases should always be "At Risk".
All that said, Bowtech has exceptional people and service so who knows how it will be handled.......my point is, there is no justification in feeling negatively toward the company if they choose to reject the claim, and be prepared for thatpossibility.
