RE: Winchester Model 70 Super Grade III
ah...I see...it's the standard supergrade rendition III
My take having seen several of these is that the wood is actually semi fancy....meaning fancy on one side only. The other side is normally bland. I'm a lover of the featherweight and to me the supergrade is heavy. Not something I want to carry around much.....and besides that it's too pretty to put in a scabbard.
I'd assume good accuracy and function but never shot one. I like the swivel studs....typical supergrade and the finish is good on the ones I saw.
For me they're between a hunting rifle and a presentation rifle and just don't fit my image of a gun in these categories.
The older supergrades held value quite well and I suspect these will too. Just not my style.
