I dont know a whole lot about bears but i do know that when my dad was younger, he almost got ate by a bear because he was in the bears turf picking his apples. So i would say that if it would try to kill something to keep it from getting into its apples then id say that a bear would like apple scent. heck with the way dad talks about bears id say it will probly try to come up the tree and get the "apples".
