My dad got me into hunting. He spent his youth and a lot of time into his 30's in the woods. Over the last 30 years he hasn't hunted as much but he still posses some outstanding skills. He's a great shot freehand with an open sighted shotgun on a moving animalbut I'm considerably better with a scoped rifle at long distance. In the open, I pick out deer before he sees them but in the woods, he can pick out animals better. I'm catching up to him there as I spend more time bowhunting.
