I have not shot the montec but have shot the crossfire. The crossfires were to easy to break but flew great. Switch to the nitrons cheaper fly as well or better. I shot a crossfire that went under my target into the grass and it bent bad --shot one into plywood broke. The nitrons to a hittook a hit tothe ground bent only a blade still straight and still flew great. Nitrons in the same plywood just fine. The nitrons all one piece steel ferrel the crossfires have a wimpy small diameter ferrel that the broadhead spins on in my opinion that is the weak point.
