Default Tuning carbons

Hello fellow archers

Trying to shoot a heavier carbon arrow. I ended up choosing big game gold tips 10.6 per inch. I shoot 70# recurve @ 28" draw, 3 fingers under with a7/8" nocking point. I've only shot 29 " arrows in the past. My?, I'm trying to bare shaft these 100+ arrows starting with original length and 125 grain points the arrow flies nock down by about 3-4 inches. I made several adjustments including adding 50 grains to point insert as well as nocking point down to square. Still flies nock low but not quite as much with nock point lower, but above square. Cutting 2 inches of the shaft (1 inch @ a time) seemed to bring it up some but also stiffened the spine. Should I just cut the last inch off to achieve a 29" arrow and the make adjustment by adding wgt.? Or should I cut a little at a time and continue to try and adjust nocking point? How close do I need to come in bare shaft tuning before fletching and paper tuning?

Thanks
