Well I've taken a least a dozen deer with an ol' 94 30-30 and never tracked a one. They all tasted quite delicous <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> The 30-30 is a great deer gun in my country. I wouldn't want one out west but i'm not hunting out west so no worries. ALL guns practice is important. You need to feel comfortable with what ever you take in the woods even if it's a .500ultrashortsuperdupermagnum.
