RE: Sighting in
For quick sight-in, set it dead on or 1" high @ 25 yds. On most calibers you will be good out to 200-250 yds. When you have more time after that see what it looks like at 100 and 200 yds. and make the proper adjustments if needed. I just put a new scope on my 30-06 and have not done the 100-200 sight in yet but with the other scopes I've had on it, I didn't have to change anything at the longer yardages.
