Your zero should be set for your situation, not what others say or need. If you expect 250-300 yard shot then sure site in 2" high at 100, however if 200 or under are what you expect 1" high would work well. Pick your zero based on your hunt and what distances you expect will present themselves within your own ability.
Always shoot your loadto verify your POI at those distances don't use paper ballistics or what somebody else says will happen.
