Default Browning Trigger

My girlfriend just purchased an A-bolt Medallion. I helped her set it up, and the only thing I wasn't real pleased with was the adjustable trigger. The manual said it could adjust from 3-6 pounds. After adjusting it to the extreme both ways, it didn't seem to adjust hardly at all. The difference in the extremes was small. It still was apound or 2heavier than my Rem 700 that I adjusted to a3 lb pull.

What do you recommend doing to lower the trigger down to around 3 lbs? I've seen a few aftermarket replacement springs, but don't have any experience in trigger work with Brownings. I saw a replacement spring from Timney ( http://timneytriggers.com/bin/store.cgi?cmd=showframes&sessionID=1123510697T T681) Does anyone have any experience or recommendations? Thanks for the help!
