RE: Timney Triggers
I have always just adjusted the factory Remington trigger on my 700s also. As someone said, unless you need a break weight below 2.5 lbs (NOT a good idea for hunting purposes, by the way)...then the factory trigger is fine. If you aren't comfortable with doing the trigger adjustments yourself, most gunsmiths will do a Rem. trigger for $25 - $50. Including testing for safety, it's about a 30 minute job. The standard Remington trigger is one of the best on any out-of-the-box rifle.
