I can't fathom liking my customers coming back with a broken scope. They are NOT happy with me when they come back with broken equipment despite the fact that I tried to tell them that it was a POS to begin with and that I didn't build it I only sell them. IMHO there are better ways to get them back in the store than with faulty equipment!
