12ga. shotguns?? Think about the original premise folks. You gotenough gear to hump, and now you want to carry around all thatshotgun ammo.[
] Survival scenario. Think lightweight & effective.
I'd still opt for a Marlin 30/30, or maybe a lightweight bolt action carbine in 223Rem., both scoped of course, and with backup iron sights. Laminated or synthetic stock on the bolt action. Stainless steel on both if available (but not shiney).
