BSA is decent for a pellet gun, but hunting rifles need optics that are up to the task.
Actually high powered springerair rifles are harder on scopes than most high powered rifles because they recoil in two directions.

Partly correct , lower power springers do , the 900-1,200 FPS crowd have springs that exert more than enough force to cancel rearward recoil . I have a 1,000 FPS model , and it physically tries to leap out of my grasp , shoulder impact is nonexistant . This class is brutal on optics .
