RE: I would like to Know> Please
Is it possible that the great numbers of deer that many hunters used to see have moved on to different areas that offer more browse and food sources? Maybe the fact that there were so many deer in years past the land can't sustain such a large herd because of over population and over browsing. And if we don't thin out the herd then this will happen in the new area that the deer have moved to also. And the process continues to repeat itself. I do think that smaller DMU's will help to solve this problem, but 1st the herd has to be cut before all the huntable land is over browsed.
