Frank is right on the money with this one. There are several older bows that shoot fairly fast, fast enough that speed alone is not a good reason to buy new.
My current 2004 Darton Tundra did 265 fps. (through Frank's chrono) with a 415 gr. arrow at #61 and a 29.5" draw.
But my OLD Viper @ 63# and 29.5 would put a 440 grainer out at 255. Fast enough to get the job done.
