Default RE: Climber Question

You can't beat climbing up a couple tree pegs and hoping into your fixed stand....but they all have there application, and climbers come in handy quite often.I hunt out of my climber probobly 80% of the time. I have a lone wolf hand climber combo, and I can almost set it up silently. It is a little uncomfortable for long sits. The old man stands are great too.
The biggest thing to avoid noise is practice! The more you practice setting up and climbing is the quicker and quieter you will be. You will probobly be pretty clumsy and noisey the first few times, but it gets better. Also, the tree you are climbing can make a huge difference in noise.Really hard bark, or flaky bark can be loud, but something like a maple or popple works nice.

Good luck
