With the early season and the October lullsoon upon us, I'm contemplating keeping the Summit in the car for at least half the month. Too many times I've made the mistake of sweltering in a treestand when I should be scouting and still hunting new prospective areas.

With this in mind, do any of you have a favorite shoe or boot that does well in this role? I need a shoe that'll let me feel that twig before it snaps and has a low profile.

Any particularsuggestions?
