I agree with Brad in the last post. I'd offer the grass that is there to the farmer. If he'll mow it, he can have it.
Then I'd plow it, disc it, run a cultipacker over it, and plant it in winter rye for a fall hunting area.
Next spring, then, wait until it greens up and round-up the whole thing and plant clover and brassicas with oats as a nurse crop.
