Hey guys and gals... This is my first post on the board and wanted to stop and say hello. I've been reading over the posts for a few weeks now and thought I'd finally introduce myself. I'm 25 years of age, currently live in the great state of South Carolina, and I have a renewed passion for bowhunting. Growing up in prime whitetail country, hunting was almost a given, but a move out of state and college life changed all that... Temporarily!

I guess I started hunting around 12 years of age and quickly had that "fever" that so many get from this great outdoor adventure. However, The last time I climbed a tree stand or even ventured in the woods was about 6 years ago. I lost contact with all my hunting buddies and found my life going in a different direction.

Well, it looks like I've made a U-turn in the middle of the night somewhere and found myself right back where I had started(SC). I had previously bowhunted for about 5 years, and had only taken ONE deer (doe)in all those years. Needless to say, I found the rifle far easier and left the bow at home on many occasions. Being young, patience was not a virtue I held strongly to. With a rifle, you don't have to get quite as personal with a deer from a hunting or scouting standpoint. The last deer I took was a small 6 point, but that was with my 30-06 rifle. I've been reading quite a bit, and to my suprise, not much has changed with bowhunting. I notice the "solo cam" is more widely used today than it was even 6 years ago. One thing that hasn't changed, is the argument over carbon or alluminum arrows(more energy, flatter trajectory, cost, etc...). I guess some things never change, huh?

Sorry to ramble like this and give my life story, but I just thought you might want to hear the path my life has taken the last several years, and how it eventually got me back to where I belong; In the woods!

P.S. What's a good bow? I sold my PSE when I left, and haven't looked into it real hard. Just thought you might have some opinions. Thanks!!!
