Well... first off - I have purchased our weapons, clothing, ammo, and we've been to a couple public dove leases here in Texas. Our ammo/bird ratio is a pathetic 3-1. Uhh... 3 BOXES to 1 bird. hehe..
How would I go about finding some experienced hunters in the Houston area to go with a couple times to get our skills up to a better performance level?? Or how would I go about learning the skills otherwise?
I'm an ex-marine so handling weapons is not a problem. I've taught my son the proper methods and safety precautions required to be safe. After that - the techniques of hunting are where I am seriously ignorant.
