RE: When do deer start eating corn?
Here in Indiana we have more corn than we know what to do with. Deer start to eat the corn as soon as the ears develope. Not only do the deer utilize the cornfield for food, but also for security. A cornfield provides food and cover at the same time allowing the deer to stay there for extended periods. Hunting the edge of a cornfield and/or the deer trails that lead up to it have been very successfulfor me in the past.I think that if you are hunting an area that only has one cornfield nearby it would be a fantastic location to hang a stand.
