Default RE: Charles Daly shotguns, are they good?

Last year I bought one of their over/under .410 shotguns. The chrome lining was bad in the lower barrel and within a couple boxes of shells shooting skeet the chrome was just shot out of the barrel. Surprising heavy, the loss of the chrome left the barrel with a cylinder bore choke and the pattern was so very open as to render the lower barrel useless.

I returened it to Daly for repairs and they accused me of "reaming" it out and refused to repair it on their warranty.

I repaired the gun myself by making a reramer and opening the bore and then made a sleeve and soldered it into the bore to restore the choke......but of course there is still no chrome in the bore. It shoots ok but I had to fix it myself.....not everyone is lucky enough to have a machine shop to do this stuff.

It's pure and simpole....Daly just refused to honor their own warranty and I'll badmouth the bastards every chance I get!!!!!
