Thanks PaJack, I still want an Encore pistol but I need some extra money first. Here in Michigan the laws are so stupid that I have to buy the pistol version to legally use it as a pistol. If I buy the rifle and put pistol grips and barrel on it they will not let me register it and it will be an illegal pistol. I think it is retarded. When I went to order the stainless pistol frame the gun shop told me that Thompson was 7 months behind on there orders and it would be a while so I got a Ruger 77 300 WSM instead. That was a year ago Feb, so I don't know what the status is now.
