Its been awhile since I thought about comparing the entry level priced Hoyts and the Reflex lineup. I tend to agree with what the shop worker mentioned to you. The Ultramag uses Hoyt's XT2000 limbs. They are a laminated carbon/fiberglass composite that makes them very durable and efficient. It is definitely something to keep in mind when comparing the two bows.
