deer will definately eat sweet corn or field corn right off the stalk. we've had deer in our sweet corn field that's very close to our house in ky. they tear up the field corn just as much. they'll just walk through the rows break off an ear here and eat on it. walk a little more and break another off and so on and so forth. deer definately love their corn.
