For the money Ruger puts very nice walnut stocks on their rifles. If you go to a larger sporting goods store you can look threw a few of them and fined aVery nice stock. My Ruger 77s all shoot very well .5"MOA at 100 yards and my friends and brothers shoot .5-1" MOA at 100 yards also. They are only about $460-$530 depending on where you get it.The scope bases are part of the Mauser type reciver and they come with rings too. The only thing you will have to do to it is a trigger job, andit will still be much cheaper than the Browning or Tika, so you can put better optics on it. Here is a picture of my 3 shot group with my 300 WSM (left) and my 3 shot group with my .223 (top right). My brother shot the bottom left group with my .223. Both guns are M77s the 300 I did a trigger job on the factory trigger and the .223 I put a Timney trigger on. Bushenll Elite 4200 scopes have rain guard and let in 95% of available light. I have one and it is awesome.
