Default Additions to the Cabin

This topic might get moved I suppose, because it doesn't have alot to do with QDM, but since I post here most often, I wanted the people I converse with regularly to see the progress we've made on our hunting cabin. We power it with a portable generator, and are 2 miles from the closest road.

This section is after the 1st addition in 2000 -originally it was a 12x12 ft - we had added on 12X20ft:

Since that time - we decided that we needed dedicated sleeping quarters, storage and a bathroom attached. We are currently finishing up a 12x12 ft bedroom that sleep 6, and an 8x8 bathroom/storage area. Here are some pictures taken over the last week:

Sorry to boast a little, but I'm very proud of what we've accomplished on a limited budget. All the doors and windows were "pick-ups" from freinds' remodling jobs. The floors and walls were panels from a defunct 18 hole miniture golf course that we had given to us. All of the floors and walls of the new addition are treated lumber and marine plywood, because that is what the golf course had been made of - in some of the pictures, you can see holes in the walls, that used to be "the cups" on the golf course. We purchased the rafters, plywood for the roof, roofing materials, insulation, and plastic to complete the addition - which totaled less than $600 - when split 4 ways - wasn't that bad. We still have to finsih the inside, but even if its just wrapped in plastic this year, it'll be nice to have the extra room. The "dish" seen in one of the last pictures, is our "extravagence" this year - I can't imagine how much we'll even use it, but the price was right.
