Default RE: Americas best kept shotgun secret.

Mossbergs are good guns. I am not knocking them.

I am not a Stoeger rep.

ICAN afford more expensive firearms. But I ask, why pay for a name? I don't have an EGO that makes me need to say I own this or that big name gun. I have friends with THOUSANDS of dollars wrapped up in Big Name guns and they still can't hit anything.

I just wanted to share a truely great find with this group.

Yes the barrel changes just like a pump gun. When you call Stoeger for parts, you will actually be calling Benelli USA. They'll give you a number to call for their parts dept. I checked on the price for a 24" in Timber HD. $145.00

Now for my responses to the negative remarks.

Red,
If as you state that "Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger .." all are owned by Beretta, then why on earth when you call Stoeger do you get a recorded message saying "Welcome to Benelli USA"? Are you telling us that Benelli is a "STEALTH" company owned by Beretta? I've never heard of that. I could be wrong.

Worc,
Where do I state in my original post that the Benelli is the ONLY gun to use the Inertia system? I said that Benelli licenses THEIR SYSTEM to Stoeger.
I suspect you have used a Chronograph like Vapodog?
Who is Patrick Flanigan? Like Beretta owning all the gun manufacturers in the world, I've never heard of that one either.

Vapodog,
You state "I also think that business about 10% velocity loss is pure BS"

You Think? You Think? Well, I think the world is flat too!
Have you EVER used a Chronograph? You sound to me like you are willing to defend the indefencible and are using a purely emotional retort. Why are you so defensive?
Do this with Worc at your side..
Chronograph an 1100 gas auto, then an 870. You'll see. In some loadings I've chronographed MORE than a 10% loss.

I admit that I have NOT chrono'd all the new auto's. I'm quite sure that itISPOSSIBLE for a new mfgr.gas auto tolose less that 10%.

I'll need to chronograph my buddies new Beretta before I state that.

The simple fact is that aftera round is fired the system mustuse enough energy to force theaction back against the main spring. Thenthe empty is ejected, the hammer spring is cocked, a new round striped from the magazine and the round chambered.
For you to"THINK" that this takes only "Tenths" of fpsis laughable.

I'm sorry that many of you spent three or four times as much as I did and got less. That is NOT my fault and "Thinking" this or that is not reality.

I did my homework.
Did you?
Did you just take some salesmansword for it.?

Nobody's pushing a Stoeger here, I could care less if you get one..
