Well my family actually invented the 243 back in 500 B.C. They kept it a secret because it was such an effective elk cartridge. We have been using that cartridge for 2,505 years and do you know what? No elk has ever made it out of it's tracks. With the family tree growing and accounting for certain family members not being interested in hunting, we have shot 1,276,859 elk and not a one of them needed a follow-up shot. You big bore guys have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to elk hunting!
