Washington's season opens September 1st. This is proof that nice bucks can deffinitely be taken early on in the season.
The guy in camo is my father, this is the first buck he's taken in velvet. He was hunting a stand I hung in Mid-August along the edge of an alfalfa field. Two days before he had the big 5x5 I was shooting for within 20 yards of his tree, but he was screened by brush. The older gentleman is the landowner and good friend of our family.
The buck scored 120 2/8".
