Personally, if I was in this situation, I would just use the matte barrel. The deer don't care what it looks like.

I'm not sure why their is a difference. You would think they would be the same, so they only have to produce one of that barrel instead of two different ones. I'm sure they have their reasons, how dumb they may be.
